New system isnt that great, but it beats the old one by a mile. I dont know any HA guilds that HA specifically for the purpose of getting favor for their district. We all do it for fame and/or fun, but almost nobody in those guilds cared about favor in the slightest.

At least now favor is based off of something that PvE'rs have something to do with. Old system made no sense at all. Plus it was drastically unfair to anyone not living in America or Europe. Anywhere else hardly every got favor.

I don't see an issue with it, I mean...we practically have favor all the time, and it's not just anyone, I mean shit, I think it's a step into unifying the territories into doing things, and GASP, international districts have more of a purpose, it's a step in the right direction, but many flaws. Max titles? No, I can understand a few of the titles that people max, and when it first came out, I thought we would NEVER have favor, but look at it this way, if you don't like the favor changes, then don't do UW or FoW, I mean seriously, there are other farming places out there, and if it is all you do, watch the time, I know down here on the East Coast it's usually favor after 11PM EST through about 9-12PM EST, so it's not like no one will pop on in-between those hours & do some FoW or UW.

i do agree with all the people that have been saying heroes ascent should have had no bearing on entrance to UW/FoW to begin with. and really, it should not have. i have kinda been waiting for the day that the message read "xyz [xyz] has won a battle in the hall of heroes." without there being strict divisions and gradual hatred for the other regions that occupy the game. i like to see that europe and america are not against each other in favor battles all day long, but in the battle together getting favor for each other. and the same for taiwan and japan, who practically never had the chance europe and america had at getting into UW/FoW. they had to join other servers if that is what they wanted to do all day...and not represent their own region :/

this might be a stretch, but if favor starts becoming a problem, where the titles are "drying up"---or people are in a position where it will be forever till the max title, try adjusting it where if people get the next best title within the title track they are working on. for instance~~display 'x person has reached tyrian explorer and counts as an achievement towards favor of the Gods.' and when they reach tyrian pathfinder, have that also count towards favor. of course, it makes more sense that maxing a title towards favor is an extraordinary achievement---but reaching towards the max title is also an incentive to increase chance of getting favor. maybe the lesser titles can count towards less minutes, and the actual max titles can count for an extremely larger amount of minutes. and perhaps more frequent chance of better drops in UW/FoW when someone has maxed a title :P it is a win-win reward system, with much winning!

but these are just a few suggestions. my mind is always at work

this new system isnt perfect but it's still far more better than the old crappy one ...

favor based on silly pvp results .. ya SURE -.-'
and let's base chest drops on beer we drink while we're at it...

favor->pve->obvious

i dunno if showing the igns of ppl maxing titles is a good idea, though
all we need now is an option to toggle the display of those HoH msgs, now, for those who dont care about pvp.

Its when, not if. Sure I think that it will be quite some time before the titles start drying up, but that time will come eventually. Its probably not worth worrying about yet though. Personally I think that ANET's response will be at first to lengthen the time that each title achievement gives.

I personally like the new way, we seem to constantly have favor.. "213 minutes of favor of the gods remaining". A UW Run for farming takes about 45 minutes, so I think 4-5 runs =) Sweet. Whats wrong with always having favor? I'm sure those of you who win HoH are pissed, cause your wins are practically worthless now, sorries about that.

Whats great about this is now you can actually "buy" favor. Make a guild with 20+ people in it and have them all work on survivor titles, or a protector title.. and then when ever you want, have everyone max out their titles, and within a few minutes, 1 hr of favor =D

Well finally....a step in the right direction. I agree with all of you, favor had no business being decided by HA wins, and if that bothers the guys in HA....tough. They spend all their time crying about the state of PvP, so why should they care if something PvE is based on something PvE. And so what, if max titles dry up with all the millions of people out there playing multiple characters and accounts, you always have UW/FoW scrolls.

BOO HISS I like the NEW! favor a lot better why? Because its easier to find parties, and more people going for titles = better to find groups there. And why would you be against it favor all the time makes vanquishing a lot easier. Too bad I allready got all the areas done before this new system - Majesty's Rest.
